Barbecuing a bishop
(backposting) This evening Moo and I went to the Bishop of Chelmsford's place for a barbecue (hog roast) with all of the other ordinands for the diaconate. This really isn't Moo's sort of thing at all, but we both had rather a good time. I re-met a bunch of people I'd not seen for a while, including a good friend, Susan, who Moo got on very well with, and a few others, too. Moo even found a Scouser to talk to (they're everywhere), though there were a few frosty moments when she discovered that we are a Reds family (rather than Evertonians) but we got over it. A good time, and a good chance to speak to people in the same position I am in (and the same for Moo) .Labels: ordination
