Things I've searched on recently

Include (from memory): And a whole bunch more, of course.

What _am_ I going to preach on?

Comments:
go with what is on your heart...God will guide you and she will inspire you.
Prayers for the journey!!!

A pulpit?

I think that would work better if it were "from", rather than "on". And no, you might think so, given my (alleged) poshness, but I much prefer preaching from ground-level.

I preached at the Methodist Church in Tebworth, Beds about 15 years ago. In those days I liked to preach from floor level. But when I tried it I realised, because the entire congregation was sitting in the back row of the balcony, that I couldn't see anyone... very odd.

Gary- one of our Chapels has a wonderful balcony- but it is dangerous to go up there so now the congregation are forced to sit on the ground floor!!!! Oddly Mike although I mostly preach from ground level (and that would be standing not lying down, before either of you makes a wise crack!), there are occassions when I use the pulpit- and some of the pulpits in Methodist churches are sacry objects!

"sacry": that's presumably somewhere between frightening and holy, yes?

As in the David Bowie hit, "Sacry Monsters and Super Crepes"?

ok my fingers are dyslexic.but it is a good word a bit like evanjellyfish- one that I may adopt for regular use!!!
